How does being in a greek orginization positively influence the actions in daily life?

I began my research to find out how being involved in a greek orginizatoin positively influences actions in a person's daily life. I started my search by browsing through the internet to see other peoples' opinions on how they were influenced or how someone they knew was influenced by joining a greek orginization. I came upon The Badger Herald by Lindsay Zuckerman. It sums up the positives and neagatives throughout the "greek world" and it gives you an accurate view of how you can be positively influenced by "going greek".

So I took my laptop and began to google How To Deal With Loosing A Loved One to read some of the stories out there in the world about people who lost some one very important in there life. So I began to look though some of the articles that came up when I typed it in. There was one article that sticks with me it is called Dealing Positively With The Loss Of Love Ones which was published by Angle-On-My-Shoulder.This Article was and still is very important to me it helped me get though all of my struggles. For example when my grandmother passed away I had a hard time dealing with the her death so I was thinking that life was going to end so I went on the computer and typed inthe same thing and I read the same article and it helped me deal with it alot better In this article it talks about how everyone loses someone in there life and things gets better as time goes on.
As I sat down looking though all of the articles that came up I start to wonder!!!!!How many people in the world today go though problems and do nothing about it and think things will get better on there own. Maybe for some people deal with there problems on there on and things work out great but other people just walk around caring there worries on there shoulders.NOT GOOD!!!!!!! I would tell everyone I know if you are going though problems just talk to someone tell someone your problems. Maybe even look on the computer and type in whats going on and there are many things

(RESEARCH) where does it all begin???

Where does it all begin?Does it begin at home or in church?,is there consequences for the actions of our generation?I briefly questioned my cousin Ashley, who delivered a beautiful baby girl in January of 2007 how it felt to be a mother at the young age 15.She replied in an uncertain way.She then replied and said that "I never regret having my daughter and experiencing love from her but i do regret that i didn't wait until i was a little older. So i furthered my interview. How did your mother respond when when you told her that you were having a child? She said "my mother was very upset" but abortion is was an option. Is this how most parents feel?I asked my friend amber who delivered her baby at 16 years old,how her mother responded to her pregnancy. she said that her mother was the one that suggested her to get an abortion. So the question still remains unanswered. My assumption is that it all depends on the circumstances because Amber's mom isn't financially stable which probably was the reason for her suggesting to get the abortion due to the low income in the their household.I totally disagree with abortions i feel that the baby should not miss an opportunity to live because the parents made careless decisions in not protecting themselves.

does the generation of my parents differ from generation of today?

I became interested in my topic when i took my entrance exam at ECC! It was a essay question on the test that cought my eye. Im begining to do reseach such as interviews with my parents and with kids from my generation. My major queston that i want to find more bout is "Does the generation of my parents differ from the generaton of today?" To me it seems like the respect for adults and the issues of todays generation is worse then how it was years ago.The gang violence and how people talk to the parents/other adults around them have became more of a issue then ever before. Back then they knew the value of a dollar. Now-a-days ypung adults stand on corners for hours and sometmes days at a time trying to make money to suvive. Now dont get me wrong, issues did occur that still happen today, i just feel as if everything is getting worse then how it was, and if it keeps increasing its not gonna be safe for kids to walk down the street or to neighborhood store. Thats rediculous!!

The difference in the violence level increased so much and thats what drew me into the subject. My friends and I often talk about why things are the way they are. Everything is a choice people choice if they want to carry a gun or to hurt/violate another person. I dont know to much about the subject but after i talk to more adults and get results from the surveys i can come up with a better conclusion. i try to think of reasons why some much has changed in 15-20 years. It seems almost unbelievable. Its crazy how dramtic people are today!

How does being in a fraternity positively influence the actions in my daily life?

By joining a fraternity I have had the opportunity to come into contact with new people and gain a better social life. Being a part of Kappa Phi have influenced my life in many ways. Offering leadership, friendship, community service, scolarship and a forever learning experience. Everyone has a desire to belong so as a kappa we gain a never ending brotherhood. Also by being a part of a fraternity you will meet many people whom will assist and help you through many obstacles. Joining a fraternity has helped me make some important decisions and after allit has made me who I am today.

why is it that young girls are increasing the numbers for teen pregnancy's?

Reality hit me September 2004 as i entered McKinley high school.Looking around at all of the big round bellies made questions such as how can she do it?,how does her family feel?,and is the father of her baby participating in raising the child.I always knew that teen pregnancy rates were high but with within the last four years of my life it seems as if it got even higher. In fact a couple of months into my freshman year my best friend from elementary school called me with concern in her voice and said that she needed to talk to me immediately about this problem she was having. So i went to her house later on that night and she told me that she had sex for the first time about two months ago and has not had a period since, she went to the doctors and that was the day that changed her life.I asked her what she was thinking and she began to cry saying "I don't know what to do". This incident made me realize that this is very serious and that it could happen to me.
