We chose memoir because we wanted to read a story thats realistic. people read memiors because they would like to read about events that really occured and they can relate to what the autor is saying. people would read memior so they can get an understanding of whats going on in the world.

I'm happy you found a book you really like.  The best of books, both fantasy, world, young adult, etc., transport us to another world.  Let's develop those responses a bit more though.
